Merchants' Petite Sizing Information

Retailers stocking petite ranges vary quite a bit in what they class as ‘petite’. We’ve put together some information on how each retailer’s petite range differs from their standard sizes.

Additions

Petite sizes 6-20 for women 4'11 to 5'2".
Although Additions don’t state how their petite sizes differ from standard sizes their products do usually have dress length, jackets length etc. Petite trousers are inside leg length 27”.

Bhs Petites

Petite sizes 8-20 but there is no specific petite sizing information given although Bhs have advised us that their inside leg length is 71cm.

CC Fashion

Petite sizes 8-18 for women 5’3” and under.
CC Fashion Petite Collection is “perfectly designed for women 5'3" and under”.

  • Trousers have an inside leg length of 27"
  • Shortened torso lengths for dresses and tops

Debenhams Petite Collection

Petite sizes 6-18 for women 5’3” and under.
Debenhams range of petite clothing has only been shortened in length from their standard ranges. Trousers in Debenhams Petite Collection have an inside leg length of 30" (76cm)!

Dorothy Perkins Petite

Dorothy Perkins don't appear to have a size guide at all!

Lands End Petite

Petite sizes 4-14 for women 4´11" to 5´3" (1.50m to 1.60m) with free custom trouser hemming.

Marks and Spencer Petite

Petite sizes 6-20 for women 5’3” and under.

  • Shoulder widths reduced by 1cm
  • Sleeve lengths shortened by 4.5cm
  • Back neck to waist shortened by 3cm
  • Back waist to hem length shortened proportionally (Jackets)
  • Front and back rises shortened by 1.2cm
  • Inside leg shortened by 5cm

M&Co Petite

Petite sizes 8-18 for women 5’3” and under.

  • Back neck to waist reduced by 3cm
  • Shoulder to shoulder width reduced by 2cm
  • Bust, waist and hip measurements all standard size
  • Dresses shortened by 9cm
  • Full length sleeves shortened by 3cm
  • Three quarter sleeves shortened by 2cm
  • Short sleeves shortened by 1cm
  • Skirt lengths are on individual product
  • Petite formal trouser: Formal front rise is 23/24 cm, classic front rise is 26cm
  • Petite casual trouser: Standard front rise is 22 cm, classic front rise is 26cm
  • Inside leg to be 28"
  • Where the core department offers a short length the petite inside leg will be 27"

Minuet Petite sizes 8-20 for women 5’3” (160cm) or under.

  • Trouser crotch length shorter by 1cm
  • Trouser leg length shorter by 7cm. Petite trouser inside leg length measures 73cm (28.7 inches).
